Artists Wanted was created in 2007 by two Brooklyn based artists, Jason Goodman and William Etundi Jr. Their first-hand experience in the art world was the inspiration for creating this bold new platform for finding burgeoning talent and supporting artistic endeavors through unique, far-reaching opportunities. Artists Wanted is redefining the way talent is discovered and exposed to the world.

Over the past three years Artists Wanted projects have been met with a stunning response. Their international calls for art, design and photography have received world-wide attention with huge awards including tens of thousands of dollars in cash endowments, one year living free in a $1.2 million apartment, and artist exhibitions attended by thousands at The New Museum, Scope Art Show and top New York City galleries. The winners are selected by a panel of judges that include art world luminaries from institutions like the Guggenheim Museum and MoMA, celebrities like Steve Buscemi and Mark Mothersbaugh (lead singer of DEVO), and editors at top publications including the New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone and Aperture Magazine.
